Who’s who: the Director of the Girls’ Choir

Diane Williams teaches in the specific learning difficulties department at Stanbridge Earls School, near Romsey. She began her teaching career in West Sussex upon graduation from Bath College of Higher Education in 1978, moving to Hampshire in 1981.

Her musical achievements, in addition to founding the Girls’ Choir in October 1996, include composing the music for a play produced at the Nuffield Theatre, Southampton, in 1992/93. She has also acted as a concert accompanist for the Romsey Choral Society in a performance of the Petite Messe Solenelle by Rossini in the Abbey and for Cantatrice, a ladies group which has performed at various venues including the Salisbury Festival. Diane is married to Jeffrey (see above).
