Who's who: the Webmaster
Dominic
Brenton has sung with the Choir of Romsey Abbey since April 1996.
Originally from Somerset, he studied for a French degree at the
University of East Anglia, where he also sang in the University
Choir conducted by Peter Aston, whose Evening Service in F
forms part of the repertoire of the Abbey Choir.
He works at the Southampton head office of Ordnance Survey, Britain's national mapping agency, as a member of its e-business team. Maintaining the Choir web site is, therefore, a useful opportunity to gain practical experience of online design issues.
Dominic also sings with the Somerset Chamber Choir, an ensemble of some sixty voices conducted by Graham Caldbeck. It has, in recent years, tackled works as diverse as the Mass in B Minor by Bach and the Cantata Misericordium by Britten, with soloists who have included Emma Kirkby and Michael George.
