Raise money for Romsey Abbey Choir as you shop online
We are registered on the easyfundraising website as a good cause that you can support. This means that whenever you shop online, by visiting this site before continuing to the website from which you intend to purchase, you can raise money for us. This is how it works.
If you haven't used easyfundraising.co.uk, go to www.easyfundraising.co.uk and click on Register as a user (one of the buttons in the middle of the page).
On the register page, in the charity/organisation box, type Friends of Romsey Abbey Choir and click on Search. Friends of Romsey Abbey Choir will be displayed as the search result. Click the radio button to select it and – somewhat confusingly – your choice of charity will then disappear. Please nevertheless complete the remaining boxes on the form to register.
Once you have created your account, you'll be taken to your home page, where you can manage your account; you'll see that Friends of Romsey Abbey Choir is your chosen cause. If you are a returning user, you will also be taken here when you log in.
To find the retailer from you wish to purchase, you can browse the list of categories down the left-hand side of the screen or type in the search box at the top of the screen beneath the logo. Various popular retailers are also listed in the middle of the page.
However you get to the listing for your chosen retailer, beneath the logo and blurb is a Visit store link. This is what you need to click on to make your purchase from the retailer count towards choir funds. How? It adds a short tracking code to the address of the retailer's website that tells the retailer that, as the customer came from easyfundraising, it should pay easyfundraising a commission on any resulting sale from that visit; a proportion of this commission is what flows back to choir funds.
