All at sea with the Pudding Pirates

George O'Brien on this year's trip to the panto

On Friday the 21st of January the boys of Romsey Abbey Choir went to the Plaza Theatre. We went to see Christmas Cat and the Pudding Pirates.

The plot of the pantomime centred on a ship called The Good Ship Santa Claus. The Captain of the ship – whose catchphrase was 'Is everything shipshape?' – loves Christmas cake. He gets the ship's cook, Cookie, who makes the best Christmas cake on the seven seas, to make him one. Of course Cookie has an assistant, who happens to be a talking cat called Christmas, who claims to be scared of nothing until the Pudding Pirates turn up! We all had an enjoyable eveningoh yes we did!

We would like to thank the PCC for once again making it possible for us to go to the panto, and Mr Fielding and Mrs O'Brien for taking us.
