Who's who: the Director of the Girls' Choir
Daphne Lindsell trained as a music teacher at the RSAMD and Bretton Hall College, where she studied the piano, singing and flute. Her attempts to play the 'cello whilst at Bretton Hall, she observed, never posed a serious challenge to Paul Tortellier: even the dog asked to leave the room when I practised!
She was Director of music at Stanbridge Earls School for a few years and also taught privately. Her attentions then turned to teaching English and teaching dyslexic pupils in one-to-one lessons. Her husband, Peter, is also a musician.
