Singing Evensong in the Quire |
This is the story of our week singing services in the Mother Church of the Anglican Communion, where we elicited many favourable comments from the resident clergy. It saw us tackle the 72-verse Psalm 78 on our first evening as well as favourite anthems such as Like as the Hart by Howells and Hail Gladdening Light by Wood.
Yet it wasn't all serious music-making: we also scaled the ramparts of Dover Castle and enjoyed a trip on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway (well, the adults did, anyway). Here follow reminiscences from those who attended:
