Diane Williams trained as a music teacher in Bath, graduating in 1978. Throughout her teaching career she has taught music, RE and children with Specific Learning Difficulties in schools in West Sussex and Hampshire. In 1982 she wrote the music for a school show, Space Queen Malajusta and the Video Kidz, which was then subsequently honed down for the Pantomime season and put on at the Nuffield Theatre in Southampton. She is a private piano teacher and accompanist for students doing instrumental exams.
During the last 30 years in Romsey, Diane has been the rehearsal accompanist for the Romsey Choral Society; she originally set up the Romsey Abbey Girls’ Choir in 1995 and has subsequently accompanied for them. She is thrilled to be taking the reins once again and developing it further.
Diane is the Trinity Guildhall Music Examination Representative for the Romsey Centre, runs a small ladies’ vocal group, Cantatrice, and plays piano in the Con Musica Trio with Caroline Sledge on cello and Jenna Gover on flute.
