Countdown to the Choir tour

Our tour of the North, in conjunction with the sponsored walk along Hadrian’s Wall in support of George’s Trust is now just a week away. We will be singing at Newcastle Cathedral, Hexham Abbey and Carlisle Cathedral.

Former members will be joining us up North, including Ken Stott; and Laurence Edwards, who left us four years ago to join Chichester Cathedral Choir, in which he is now a senior chorister. It will be a real pleasure to be joined by their respective wives and parents as part of the large entourage travelling with us.

Senior Chorister Christopher Williams will step down as a treble after the final Evensong in Carlisle, concluding six years of loyal service, for which we are grateful. Head Chorister Simon Grant is stepping back rather than down at the end of his days as a treble. He jumps in at the deep end on the tour to sing Decani tenor. Joining the front row for the first time will be Jake Berry; we hope he enjoys it.

Internet access permitting, we hope to be able to provide updates here during the week.
